We look at people’s chromosomes at look for abnormailites- differences from 46,XY in men and 46,XX in women. This will allow us to spot missing bits of chromosomes, or extra bits or bits that have moved to where they shouldn’t be (translocated). We can then use this information to treat or offer support to the patient. Thanks for asking!
