yes I think so. I just didn’t always realize that it was ‘science’. I liked asking questions about animals and how they live and how they eat and what they do. I also liked finding out about how something worked, but honestly I didn’t always understand. Still don’t always understand. I have friends who try to explain certain things about physics or chemistry. I have to really concentrate to understand that. But its still cool. Yes I am a science geek.

Yes, I did, although I liked most subjects at school. I loved English, French and Geography as well. I stubbornly avoided History because our teacher was really boring and I regret that now: I pretend I’m not watching when my wee boy has ‘Horrible Histories’ on the TV, but that’s about my level of understanding! My favourite subject was Chemistry, although now I’m a Biologist (kind of!).

Hmmmm…Like??? If you think back to your first memories then I bet you can’t really remember a time before there was school in your life? As time progresses you become aware that you go to this big building and that lessons get in the way of play time. But then, one day, you are in a lesson and something really catches your attenion and you are liek, “Wow, I never knew that, tell me more”. This will come to different people at different ages and in different subjects. For me it was during a first year (now year 7) science field trip and i started to see the world from a different angle. Once the lightbulb goes on it tends to stay on for good.
Im not an English literature person who could read Jane Austin all day. Give me” On the Origin of Species” or “The Blind Watchmaker” anyday 🙂

In summary after all that waffel: not always but when you’re hooked, you’re hooked.
