Hello Paris21, actually we use markers that have already been published and with the recent publication of the schistisome genome there are many to choose from. What I am doing at the moment though is combining many microsatellite DNA markers into one PCR reaction, this is know and a multiplex PCR. And it takes sooooooooooo long to get it working right. After that though its will be full steam ahead. 🙂 more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variants_of_PCR
