Eyes have cells called rods and cones to name but a few. They help you see by transalteing the light that hits them into electrical signals that go to the optic nerve then to the brain. The lens of the eye helps to focus the light for us. Colour blind people have problems with their cones (rods are used to see at low light level – and are black and white) and can’t tell colours apart very easy.
