Question: Has anything you've ever found out shocked you?

Hi Emily, yes actually. But it wasn’t my discovery really, it was a team effort. Something weird was going on with the treatment in a village we were working in. We collected our samples from the children and when we looked at our results we were quite surprised. There seems to have been a mixing of two different parasite species that lead to these unusual results. We are now trying to research this in more detail. I hope that the results will be helpful to the people of this village and we can stop this unusual parasite mix from causing any more problems.
