  Hello 09kennedys, you would start to feel sick, then you would have blood in diarrhoea or blood in your urine. That is when you would go to a doctor. They then take a sample of your urine or stool and look at it under a microscope where they would clearly see the parasite eggs. You’d then be given Praziquantel to kill the schistosome worms.
