• Question: what is likly to be the last living organism on the planet

      ilikescience – sure i answerred this on in the chat earlier, as did Judith.

      Most likely to be an insect or a bacteria. They say that cockroaches would survive a nuclear war.Thinking about it its most likely to be something that doesn’t feed off another (as their food source would be gone) and something that could handle climate change – probably a sea dwelling bacteria that undergoes photosynthesis.

      Or maybe my 15 year old fish will outlive them all!

      Yep, we both did!

      Probably an insect (or two different insects taking it in turn to eat each other…..). Maybe something that hasn’t evolved yet. I’m not putting my money on Chris’s fish!
